New Workout November

All this month I have been encouraging clients to try one new workout this month.

We often get stuck doing the same thing day in and day out, week in and week out, month in and month out.. until we find ourselves in a workout rut. When we do the same exercises we do not test our limits, our stength, our abilities... You will never know what you are capable of until you try something that you have never done before.

I tell my clients everyday that the hardest part is not the actual exercise, the hardest part is just getting started. Getting out of bed, walking in to a new gym, trying a new piece of equipment, making that stop to the gym after a long day at work instead of just going home- those are the hardest decisions we face.

It's not the decision to do one more rep, or go 5 more minutes on the treadmill, or stay until that group class ends. By that time you have already done what the majority can not. It's finding that inner fire, that motivation, that will power to get us started that takes a total mind and body decision. Everything after that hurdle is icing on the cake.

So do today, what others may not have the strength to do. Believe in yourself. Be mindful, be faithful, and be fearless. Try something new this November and prove to yourself that anything is possible at any age, any fitness level, any current spot at this moment in your life.
